[NCLC News] New Creation Newsletter and Advent Kick-off info!

Hello All Friends of New Creation (from your Newsletter Editor)

 

I really had hoped to be able to get the newsletter out before Thanksgiving,
so we'd have it in time to read about our Advent Festivities on Nov. 29th -
BUT the onset of some sort of virus or something (attacking me, not my
computer - though I'm not sure which is worse!)  plus preparing for a busy
holiday weekend have conspired against me.

 

So for those of you on this email list, I'll just get this most
time-sensitive information out!

Christmas Kick-Off, Sunday November 29

The first Sunday in Advent we will begin the preparations for Christmas at
New Creation. Advent is a time of preparing for the Messiah and waiting in
hope for all that is to come. We of course have heard the Good News and have
the opportunity to get the word out early! Following service we will start
our preparations! There will be the greening of the church- pulling out all
of the beautiful Christmas treasures, creating props for our upcoming
Christmas Pageant (December 13) and crafts to take home to get the spirit of
Advent in our homes as well. 

I am looking for volunteers to help lead some of the projects, if you are
interested in helping with this, please let me know. But don't be surprised
when I come a calling!  

 

Throughout this event, we plan to have "finger foods" out for munching.
Everyone let's all bring an appetizer, hors d'oeuvre, munchie, or whatever
you like to call it to share with everyone during these fun activities.
