Recently in church, we’ve been invited to share thoughts during service by writing them on cards and dropping them in the offering.  They are being featured on our “Peace Wall” in the lobby at church, and we thought we’d also share them with you here.

 

The first prompt was:

God of peace, please help me:  ____________________________

Lord, hear my prayer.

 

find patience.

find and offer compassion to others.

be still and know that You are God.
not to be anxious.
not to be short and impatient with others.

have more patience and understanding.
learn to forgive myself and others.

be patient with my mom.

have more peace and patience.

to be less judgmental of others.

to see every negative situation in an optimistic way.

with my patience.

to not try to control all situations and just let things go.

to come to you for strength and guidance.
to be compassionate and graceful to others.

to overcome personal prejudices.

have a more patient attitude.

focus time on important things for others.

be less stressed about life.
to help others feel less stress.

be more patient on the road with commuters of the road.

smile more.
accept others and don’t expect them to change.
change myself and treat others as I’d want them to treat me.

stop smoking. Without it I am grumpy.

stay patient during the busy holiday shopping.

have compassion and see the hurt inside, instead of the hurtful outside.

see people as you see them.

give comments instead of criticism.

take a deep breath, relax, and be more patient.
say “thank you” and “I love you” more often.

my husband.  He provides for our family’s livelihood.
…I can greet him warmly and lovingly as he arrives home.  Make tea every morning that he can enjoy as he begins his day.

my husband for his love, acceptance, and patience.

my mom – who had a very strong faith in God no matter what was going on.  Wish I could hug her and tell her how much a loved and appreciated her.

New Creation Lutheran Church – having me feel I belong, which I have not felt in a very long time.

Fina! – For being the best mother and wife any man can have. I love her so much.

AT&T – They have provided me with a great job to support my family for 14 years.
