I have been hearing this a lot lately, "I 'Like' New Creation Lutheran Church on Facebook, but I don't see any of your updates on my Newsfeed, why?" I've been looking into this and the most common, in fact the only, reasons I have found is that your Newsfeed only showing "Top News" and/or is not configured to allow enough friends to appear in it.
To solve this problem:
- Login to Facebook
- Make sure you are on your "Newsfeed" and have selected "Most Recent" on the top right of the page.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of your Newsfeed page.
- Click on "Edit Options"
- A dialog will pop-up and on the bottom of it you will see an editable field, with a number in it, next to the text "Maximum number of friends shown in Live Feed"
- Edit that number to be larger than your total number of Friends plus the number of Pages you Like. I set mine to 500.
- Click the "Save" button.
It is imporant to know that Facebook will occasionally switch back to "Top News" and you'll need to remember to select "Most Recent" when it does.
