Hey, did you know…

Hello Everyone,
   Hey, did you know…

Hey, did you know that New Creation has a new website? It is still at the same place: http://www.newcreationchurch-sj.org. The new design is intended to make it much easier for new visitors to learn about us.

Hey, did you know that New Creation is just getting started with Blogging? Yes, it’s just one of the many things we are working to improve communication. A summary of our blogs can be found at: http://www.newcreationchurch-sj.org/blogs.htm.

Hey, did you know that we have a calendar on our website? It lists everything that is going on in the building, as well as some of the stuff going on outside. It’s really easy to find from the menu, but if you are lazy, you can find it here: http://newcreationchurch-sj.org/calendar.htm.

Hey, did you know that you can connect with New Creation on Facebook? Checkout out our page at http://bit.ly/c7UNSd (this is just a shortcut because the actual Facebook url is really long and ugly). You can also keep up with the Teen Happenings at http://bit.ly/b87ff2.

Hey, did you know that you can also keep up with New Creation on Twitter? That’s right, we tweet now. http://twitter.com/newcreationsj.

Hey, did you know if you use Google Reader, or any other RSS feed reader you can also keep with the latest happenings at New Creation using RSS? Yes that’s right; you can find us in FeedBurner at http://feeds.feedburner.com/NewCreationNews.

Hey, did you know that we have much more planned to increase our internet presence? Yup, it’s true! Soon we will be posting our music, more pictures, hopefully some videos, and maybe even some Podcasts.

Hey, did you know that if you have no idea what any of this means it is totally ok? We are going to keep doing e-mails, mailings, etc. as needed.

Outdoor Movie Season Starts May 15th at New Creation!

We are kicking off the summer outdoor movie series on May 15th at 7:00pm. Movie night is usually scheduled for the second Saturday of the month; please note that May is an exception. So, on the third Saturday of May come on over for a BBQ and family friendly movie, shown in the front yard of New Creation. The movie will begin at dusk, when it is dark enough to see the screen…

Note: A small donation is requested from those joining us for the BBQ. The movie is always free!

New Creation Church Launches New Website

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Creation Church Launches New Website
San Jose, California (April 6, 2010) – New Creation Church redesigned its website as a vital communication tool for its members and for the south San Jose community as a whole. This decision resulted in an improved website which offers a fresh new look that technically provides its online visitors with significant improvements in navigation and easier accessibility for users.

New Creation Council President Jay Everson says, “The previous website was developed with a focus on internal collaboration and ease of management. However, sacrifices were made in design and usability. With the design of this latest website, much more energy was put into usability and easily providing answers that our readers are looking for.”

New Creation Church merged with St. Andrew Church, also known as Next Generation Church, last year. Since the merger, much of their efforts have been put towards developing their Next Generation Family Ministries. This re-launch of the website, http://newcreationchurch-sj.org, reflects their continuing commitment to serving children, youth, and families in the Santa Teresa/south San Jose area.

Since its inception in 1995, New Creation has experienced exceptional growth in both its community outreach and membership. Today, the new website reflects the breadth and dynamism of New Creation, and its enthusiasm for its ministries.

New Creation Council President Jay Everson further says: “While this is just the first phase of the launch of our new website, this marks the next step in a long journey for New Creation Church – one that reinforces our commitment to reaching out to our members and community. Our members and their needs are vital to us, and this website reflects our commitment to providing our members and readers with current information.”

About New Creation Church

New Creation is a Progressive Christian community and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), offering Christ’s reconciliation, hope, and healing to all people. They are a joyful and praising-God kind of church, holding strongly to reconciliation among all faiths, ethnicities, and diversities.  New Creation reverently claims the power of prayer to heal and change life, and see God’s redemptive love in everyday life. Pastor Anne Carlson came to New Creation in 2004, helping form a clear vision for the future. Active small groups, music, and youth programs keep growing and evolving. God indeed intended for New Creation to be here in south San Jose. There are still many things to be done. New Creation is indeed a new kind of church.
